SEA-ME-WE 5 Project Launch Celebration Event was held in Honolulu, Hawaii on 16th January 2017. The event was a tremendous success with continuous positive feedback from the many attendees from around the globe. The program was enriched with local performances and the agenda went smoothly. The registration was seamless, the entertainment was exiting, the dinner was tasty and delicious using high quality ingredients presented professionally in a gourmet style. The project launch ceremony was very unique, including a conch blowing ceremony, a local flower lei untying ritual ending with a spectacular firework display. There were several interactive activities set up during the evening for the invited guests to enjoy such as the traditional Hawaiian flower lei making station, coconut husking corner, wood carving work-shop and coconut leaf bending base. It was a memorable evening for anybody who attended.
The event organization excelled and provided a great opportunity to celebrate the result of the hard work of 19 consortium member companies, the award winning SEA-ME-WE 5 project.
